A Diagnosis Camp for the symptoms of Osteoporosis and Rheumatic Pains Held


        A free check-up camp for the patients complaining of bone-aches and shoulder-joint pains was held at Champaben Nanalal Hospital, on the occasion of Death Anniversary of Karmayogi  Babasaheb Keshavrao  Deshmukh, on 13th August.  Around 145 patients were attended to.  The camp included the consultation and distribution medicines.

        This Social service was initiated  by the SSM in association with the Global Hospital, Nanded. The Chairman, SSM expressed a note of Gratitude towards the participating Doctors and the Para-medical staff.

The Death Anniversary of Babasaheb Deshmukh observed



The Death Anniversary of Babasaheb Deshmukh was  observed on 16th of August at the Bajrang Maidan. A congregation including all the volunteers, the villagers and children, who have a deep emotional attachment with Babasaheb fondly remembered him, his devotion and the magical vision he had had. He loved children a lot. He would narrate interesting stories to children at every gathering. The emotionally charged evening was engaged in story telling by some children from SSM's schools, Bhajans and Nostalgia. Later, A Primary School Teacher Mrs. Chandrasena Kalkekar spoke on the life of Babasaheb and his services for Rural Community and Education.
       Earlier that afternoon, a General Body Meeting was held and many a resolutions were approved. As per the convention, all the newly married couples among the volunteers were felicitated.
            Baba Saheb Deshmukh was so fond of traditional sports. So a “Mallakhab Demonstration” was presented by the students of Sainiki Vidyalay.
        In addition, Kabbadi Matches were also conducted for the youth of the village.  Around 13 teams from Biloli, Dharmabad and surrounding talukas from the District participated.  The Winning team has been awarded a Shield on the occasion

Alumni giving back on the occasion of 71st Independence Day



        The Grand National festival of the World's most powerful Democratic Country, Our I-Day has been celebrated at the Sharada Nagar, on 15th of August. Even before the Sun was visibly risen, the children, the  youth and the elders hurried for the gathering, not to miss a single moment of the gala.  The national Tri-color has been unfurled at a number of places in the different Units of schools in the campus and  at the village. Mrs. Shraddha Deshmukh has been invited as the Guest of Honor for the day. She hoisted the National flag  at the main grounds of  SSM's Head Quarters after inspecting the parade of various troops in uniform.
The event was followed by a demonstration on Martial arts and Self-Defence, especially for the girls and women.


The celebrations concluded with an announcement of philanthropy from Shri Manoj Panchal and Shri. Indrejeet Patel  (Mumbai). They offered to pay the fees for 50 girl students towards their Computer Education. 
Alumni giving back
                            SSM feels proud of its alumni Manoj Panchal (Mumbai) and Vidya Deshmukh (Pune) who have been in close association with the mission of SSM, even years after they left the school. Both of them volunteer to join every possible occasion and contribute in kind and service. They help the needy children and provide them books to bicycles every year. Their unfailing attachment with their school is very much commendable.

        Rising to the call by Hon'ble Prime Minister to re invent the potentialities of modern India, the SSM too joined the mission. The KVK Sagroli has organized a farmers’ gathering on 30th August at Sagroli.  Creating a platform to manifest the concept of 'New India Manthan Movement' the farmers pledged to contribute their share of efforts to double the farm produce by 2022.  The resources educated the participants with activities like 'more crop per drop', importance of Soil health card, post-harvest technologies, value-addition techniques, marketing the produce, subsidies and crop insurance and how allied agricultural activities serve as the seven key aspects in doubling farm produce.  Shri Dyaneshwar Bodke, Abhinav Farms club, Pune reiterated  the need of allied agricultural activities to support farmers as an additional source of income.  SSM’s Chairman Shri Pramodji Deshmukh during his  address,  insisted on turning the movement into a public campaign.
     In the concluding session, Resources of the Farmers' Facilitation Center, Sagroli extended their services in  registering formers for loan waiver scheme announced by the Government Maharashtra.

SSM’s Students Excel at Malkhamb Competitions:

        The students of Sainiki Vidyalaya demonstrated fascinating performance at the Inter Divisional sports competitions held at Nanded on 23rd August.  Malkhamb is the indigenous sport of gymnastics done on a wooden pole and a rope.  Eight participants of SSM won the first prize defeating their opponents and got qualified for next level. The winner’s team included Vijay Kendre, Shivkant Mendekar and their Coach Shri Waghamre.

        On the same occasion, boxing team also marked commendable success by winning series bouts.  Samej Aacharya, Jaykumar Jadhav and Santosh Humbarde stood first under 14, 17 and 19 respectively.  They got qualified for Divisional Level.

Science Awareness and Yoga Lessons Conducted For Two Days :

  th of August, at the campus. The Members of Maharashtra Raja Vigyan Parishad, had presented a number of demonstrations on the scientific point of view and motivated the participants towards inculcating scientific vision and fervor.  Dr. Jayant Joshi, the senior scientist at Bhabha Automic Research Center performed various science experiments through play-way method.  His demonstrations included making Best out of waste, for science experiments.  He also guided teachers about developing teaching aids.

        In addition, Dr. Krantiveer Mahidrakar, a renowned yoga trainer, performed various yogasanas in the early hours on the 6th of August at Bajrang Maidan and spoke on the relevance of yoga in our daily life.  He had also performed a Hypnotism show for school children.  He insisted that such practices are useful to boost memory and information retention.

Diploma Course Introduced for The ASC Licensees



        A One-year  Diploma course for the licensees of Agro Services Centers has been introduced  at KVK Sagroli, on 6th August.  Since it has been made mandatory for the aforesaid licensees to possess basic  educational competencies, it was necessitated to open such a Diploma course. The first batch of  admissions are open for  40 students.

        Agro Services Centers in the State are the reliable and at the beck n call  resources for  the farmers. Speaking at the inaugural function, The  KVK project co-ordinator,  Shri Suresh Kulkarni said, “ Once these candidates are awarded the diplomas,  they don’t just work as service provider but  deliver professional advices as well.”
